The Fellowship in Gynecological Endoscopy programme is aimed to mould up graduating residents in obstetrics and gynecology to a fully trained endoscopic surgeon. The basic endoscopic training course was started in 1988 and in 1994 began advanced endoscopic training. More than 1500 doctors got trained here.
Our 1-year fellowship program started in 2007 and more than 34 candidates have successfully completed their course
The fellow can work with the preceptor and other designated members of the training team in the operating room. The fellow should participate in the pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative care of patients. The fellow may be assigned to other professionals to gain additional knowledge and experience in procedures and techniques. In addition, the fellow has to publish a research paper and at least one case report in international journals during their curriculum to prove their training credentials in endoscopic surgery.
The fellows will be given additional training in working up a patient in the OP and in basic and advanced ultrasound. They will also be provided basic training in various ART procedures done in this institute.
