Paul's Hospital
The Fellowship in Gynaecological Endoscopy programme is aimed to mould graduating residents in obstetrics and gynaecology to a fully trained endoscopic surgeon. The basic endoscopic training course was started in 1988 and in 1994 began advanced endoscopic training by Dr Paul PG under the Ministry of Health of Kerala. More than 1600 doctors were trained by him.

Candidates can scrub in as an assistant during each surgery. Initial few days you will be taught how to use the laparoscopic camera and to visualise better. Unless you learn how to control the camera and improve visualisation, you may not be able to instruct your camera person while operating.
Greater responsibility will be given to the candidate depending on the candidate’s experience and capability at the time of assisting the surgery.

Pelvic - trainers and video endoscopes are available for practice. Different types of endo-suturing will be taught by the pelvic - trainer in a choreographed technique.
